Boy Eats Drum Machine celebrates Hoop & Wire at the Doug Fir with Finn Riggins on February 27th!
Jon Ragel takes the stage as Boy Eats Drum Machine with a saxophone, turntable, microphone, sampler and green tom drum. His clear voice sails over the expert jams, often causing show-goers to dance, sway and otherwise become transfixed. And right there at the merch booth after the show is Ragel, showing you the vintage LP covers he repurposes by hand-screening his own artwork on. Yes, we would love for you to write about his music, his process–yes, he is serious, and seriously fun.
Next month, in support of the upcoming album Hoop & Wire (out March 16 on Tender Loving Empire), Boy Eats Drum Machine will be touring all over the West on his way to SXSW in March. Hopping in the van will be his deliciously proggy, power trio labelmates, Finn Riggins. Together, these two bands make for a sweaty, deliriously fun show!
